ROYAL JELLYRoyal Jelly is milky-white viscous substance, also known as Gelee Royale, secreted from the cephalic glands of nurse worker bees (Apis mellifera). It is completely synthesized by the bees and is derived from the proteins and nutrients in the pollen digested by the secreting bees.Royal Jelly is a substance of complex chemical structure which contains remarkable amounts of proteins, lipids, glucides, vitamins, hormones, enzymes, mineral substances and sugars. It also contains niacin, biotin, inositol and folic acid. Other components are eight essential amino acids, important fatty acids, sterols and phosphorous compounds as well as acetylcholine. It is rich in minerals, calcium, copper, iron, phosphorous, potassium, silicon and sulfur. Although some of the elements found in royal jelly are in microgram quantities, they still act supremely with co-enzymes as biocatalysts in cell regeneration processes.
